Welcome to the first installment of “Friday Favs!” This is where I list my favorite finds of the week. Most of the time, these will be speech finds, as this is a speech blog. However, you may find a great recipe or funny cartoon on occasion as well. OK, here’s my favorites from this week!
1. This first find is something I recently found while perusing online. It’s a handful of great websites for building vocabulary both for adults and children. Check out my recent post about it!
2. Speech Language Assessment Checklists by Tatyana Elleself. This is a great tool to use when assessing children for speech and language difficulties. There is a list for both preschool and school-age children, and each list is quite thorough. Plus, it’s very affordable! You can check out her guest post about it at Simply Speech, and you can purchase the assessment checklist at Smart Speech Therapy, LLC. And guess what? It’s even on sale!
3. This last find is a recipe for Scotch-A-Roos from a friend of mine at her blog Among the Young. I haven’t tried the recipe out yet, but I LOVE scotch-a-roos. I haven’t yet found a recipe that I love and is easy to make, so I’m excited to try this one!
Until next time,
